Greetings:

So glad you have taken the time to visit our website and hope you return often to become inspired for that next project of JOY.  If you reside in the Roseburg area, UVQG would like to extend an invitation to come to the next meeting and let us introduce ourselves to you. We would love to meet you and would have you become part of UVQG. Check the events calendar for details regarding meeting dates.

As a member of UVQG, there are numerous opportunities to learn, improve your skills, share your knowledge and talents, meet new people, and explore new techniques all while being among a group of supportive and fun-loving individuals . We strive to have a variety of workshops for all skill levels and invite experts from both within the guild as well as from the region as instructors and speakers.  Members also receive discounted prices and first opportunity to sign-up for guild sponsored workshops, retreats and field trips.

Member Benefits

Retreats:

Annual February Retreat – 2019 – Gold Beach:  Sign up for one or two 3-day sessions.

Stay-Cations:  Are scheduled at various times of the year to get out of the house and focus on our projects or start a new one.  Usually this semi-get-a-way is 2-3 days in duration with the opportunity to sleep in your own bed every night.

Trunk Shows:

Members and guest speakers share their quilts and their stories during both the day and evening business meetings. Check out the event calendar for the next trunk show program.

Sew Day:

The third Tuesday day-meeting has an unstructured format allowing members to work on personal projects, Stitch and Sew Emporium items, and receive individual assistance with new techniques.  A great way to share, learn something new, meet new friends and catchup on some of those “Unfinished “projects.

Field Trips:

The Field-Trip destinations are being established.  Will it be Sisters Quilt Show, the Northwest Quilting Expo, the 101 Shop Hop.  Plans are in the making.

Workshops & Classes:

Our Program Planning Committee works diligently to seek and find qualified, experienced instructors to come and teach our members. Members are given first opportunity to sign-up and pay a discounted fee for attending.  Learn new techniques, enhancing one’s skills and have some fun.

Access to Broad Knowledge Base:

Many of our members have been sewing and quilting for years, some of them lots of years.  As a new member you will have hundreds of years of experience, knowledge, skills, and stories galore of the JOY that quilting has brought to their lives and those that have received their quilts.

The Guild also maintains a library that includes quilting-related books, magazines, and videos. They are available for members to check out.
